afach numä hebe bitte ist der Versuch, Menschen mittels eines Kleidungsstücks dazu zu bringen, mich zu umarmen. Und zwar mit der ganz banalen Aufforderung „einfach nur halten bitte“. Diese Arbeit ist ein ernst gemeinter und ausformulierter Wunsch nach Berührung, der mich in einer Zeit umtrieb, in der mir die Abwesenheit von körperlicher Nähe sehr zusetzte. Diese Jacke ist Handlungsanweisung, die verstanden und ausgeführt wurde.

This garment has a clear function. It was sewn in the kimono style, as these garments provide large image areas on the back without intersection lines. The big back pieces were sometimes used for the narration and representation of historical events and stories. I used it to express a strong need I felt.  The textile collage on the back shows the words "afach numä hebe bitte"(just hold me please). It is an invitation to embrace. I tested the garment on several occasions. The special cut of the sleeves as well as the colourful collage generate attention and provoke conversations, which, very often lead to the desired hug. The piece was created during my year abroad in Germany, when I felt very lonely and longed for closeness.
