“Ich bin froh, dass mir Mama Vermicelles importiert”.

Vermicelle ist ein typisches Schweizer Dessert, das im Herbst gegessen wird. Es wird aus Esskastanien gemacht, die im italienischen Teil der Schweiz wachsen.

Zwischen Glas bewahre ich diese Geste auf. Das Lieblingsdessert ist schon lange gegessen, aber zurück bleibt die Vorsicht, mit der Mama das Vermicelle die 550km zu mir transportiert hat.

“I’m glad Mom imported Vermicelles for me.”

Vermicellesw is a typical Swiss dessert eaten in the fall. It is made from chestnuts that grow in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Since I live in Germany, I don’t have access to this dessert and miss it very much. So my Mother decieded to import it for me as she visited me.

I keep this gesture between glass. My favorite dessert has long been eaten, but what remains is the care with which my mother transported the Vermicelles 550 km to me.
